On our travels, we come across cultures where wellness rituals can play a more important role than in others. With its many hammams and ancestral beauty secrets, Morocco isdefinitely one of those countries where wellness routines representa whole art of living. Unsurprisingly, the precious, even endemic, ingredients specific to the Moroccan territory are now making their mark in the world of cosmetics. From the benefits ofargan oil to the virtues of ghassoul (or rhassoul), not forgetting "magic" lipsticks or the famous Akar el Fassi of the Berbers, this land of well-being is recognized the world over.

In Paris, in the heart of the trendy Marais district, an exotic boutique invites us to immerse ourselves in the beauty secrets of Moroccan women, with a range of skincare products featuring these very ingredients. Visit 5 rue des Francs-Bourgeois to discover the world of marocMaroc. Whether for the body, face or hair, this cosmetics brand offers a full range of Made In France skincare products.
The boutique also contains a little secret: a spa hidden behind a boudoir area. This unique cabin offers a range of treatments for both face and body. As we were hesitating, we opted for a compromise, the Lift & Glow signature facial (€130), lasting 1h30, which includes a massage of the arms, neck and legs.
This treatment uses products based onprickly pear oil, a precious ingredient praised for its anti-aging, antioxidant and ultra-moisturizing properties. The six-step ritual includes cleansing, exfoliating scrub, sculpting, two masks and removal. In the hands of Mathilde, who will have performed this treatment for us, we quickly let ourselves relax to the rhythm of an almost cinematographic soundtrack, different from the classic soundtracks usually found in spas, but just as relaxing. This serenity can sometimes be interrupted by the sound of a cupboard door, which nevertheless serves as a reminder of the activity of the boutique that lives beyond the doors of the treatment room.
Otherwise, the treatment is beautifully choreographed: between the different stages, the gentle scent of a mist awakens our senses, and the different textures and fragrances of the applied treatments take over, each evoking nature through the products' key ingredients. During the mask pause, Mathilde alternately massages the visible parts of the body: arms, nape of the neck, legs, taking care never to lose contact so as not to catch us unawares: the sense of detail is there.
However, don't expect the treatment to be tailor-made, especially since the core of this service focuses on the face. Gestures follow a fixed protocol, but can be adapted to suit all customers, so you still get that feeling of relaxation. At the end of this peaceful escapade, we find ourselves back in the boudoir area, where this time, mint tea and dried fruit await us. Mathilde then explains the different treatments we've used and their benefits, gives us tips for our beauty routine and answers our questions in an educational way. Then it's time to close this interlude, the effects of which will be visible over the following two weeks, with boosted hydration and plumped-up skin (provided we stick to our daily routine to ensure lasting results).
