Colorimetry workshops for 30 euros: sublimate your image at Galeries Lafayette Wellness

Every Monday at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, Delphine Perl welcomes you to the Wellness Galerie's Bulle Rose for a colorimetry workshop open to all, with personalized advice on how to find your color palette and look your best every day.

Have you always wanted to know which color suits your complexion best, but didn't want to spend hundreds of euros to find out? Fortunately, colorimetry is available to help you identify the color palette that best enhances your beauty. At Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, Delphine Perl (Call my coach), a professional image coach, offers a group session at an affordable price: 30 euros.

Every Monday, by appointment at the Wellness Galerie, a veritable temple of beauty and well-being, rediscover your face from every angle, in the Bulle Rose, filled with kindness and gentleness. Each session lasts one hour and is open to groups of three to six people maximum. Each person can receive expert advice from Delphine, as well as from her colleagues of the day (friends and strangers alike), the ideal way to feel valued and put forward, over a complimentary coffee or tea break.

After a brief introduction to the concept of colorimetry, it's time to find your season! There are four seasons, of course, and a whole host of undertones (the 12-season theory) to help you define the palette that's right for you.

So we start by settling down in front of the mirror, illuminated from head to toe, and Delphine, attentive and warm, successively passes over our collar two fabrics with different color variations, to find out if our tone is rather warm or cool: golden or silver, off-white or cream, apricot or orange?

At first glance, it may not seem to make much difference, but when you take a close look at your face, you'll notice the difference. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's obvious, but some colors erase wrinkles, redness and shadows on your face, making you look more refined, while others make you look worse, with a duller complexion!

As for us, with our chestnut hair, hazel eyes and slightly tanned skin, we're quick to decide on the autumn season, with its rather warm tones.

But then you have to go a step further and define whether it's a mild, warm or deep autumn! For this purpose, Delphine is bringing out new fabrics with similar color palettes but different, more or less pronounced shades, as well as oval-shaped color charts to hold in front of the face to get a better idea.

We soon realize that flashy colors are not for us, and that certain colors are clearly not for us. We learn that black, white and gray are not for us, and should be shaded cream or brown instead!

Good to know, colorimetry only concerns the upper part of your body, i.e. necklaces, scarves, earrings, make-up and of course tops, but not bottoms, so you can keep your black pants! Of course, as Delphine reminds us, after this session, you don't necessarily have to change your entire wardrobe. You can decide whether or not to take these tips into account; if you love a color that doesn't suit you, you can wear it differently!

And let's not forget that colorimetry can change from one country to another due to cultural bias, so it won't necessarily be the same in France as in Korea, for example. In the end, it turns out that your tester du jour is a warm autumn, with a rather deep, rich color palette based on yellow pigments, including gold, coral, rust, camel, khaki and eggplant. Delphine also offers a few color tips that can help us age or rejuvenate.

You'll leave feeling energized, with explanations, a personalized color chart, color combinations to try out and the urge to go shopping. This makes it easier to choose clothes and jewelry, as well as make-up and glasses (for us, black around the eyes is also to be avoided, as it dulls the look - plum or brown is better!)

Delphine also offers individual sessions, as well as a clothing styling workshop, to discover the cuts and fabrics that suit your personality and lifestyle, morpho-face or silhouette to enhance your self-esteem, or an image assessment to take stock, before a new job for example (80 to 100 euros). So many ways to highlight your strengths and regain your self-confidence!
