Fashion-Z, the free festival of New Fashion at the Palais Galliera: workshops, meetings & DJ set

The Palais Galliera is set to become the beating heart of emerging fashion with the free Fashion-Z festival on April 25 and 26, 2025. On the program? Meetings, workshops, exhibitions, DJ sets and musical events to explore and celebrate tomorrow's fashion from every angle!

On Friday April 25 and Saturday April 26, 2025, the Palais Galliera will be ablaze with the rhythms of emerging creation with Fashion-Z, a hand-sewnfashion festival celebrating the designers of tomorrow. Two days of raw, unfiltered, unretouched fashion, where the creative youth take the floor, the scissors and the catwalk. It's stylish, it's committed, and best of all: it's free!

Organized in partnership with the Campus Mode, Métiers d'Art & Design (MoMADe), this show of fresh ideas ticks all the boxes of contemporary dressing: awareness, transmission, innovation. What's on the program? Meetings, participatory workshops, an exhibition of student looks and a festive evening(reservation required) to close the event in style.

The spot? The Grande Galerie of the 16th arrondissement museum, transformed for the occasion into a catwalk of experiments. In the spotlight: 19 couture silhouettes signed by future greats trained in fashion design courses at leading schools and colleges (École des Arts Décoratifs - PSL, Institut Français de la Mode, École Duperré Paris, ENSCI, ENSAAMA, ENAMOMA, Madeleine Vionnet and Albert de Mun). The designs were judged by a jury led by stylist Jeanne Friot.

Performances and musical events are free of charge until 7:30 pm from the Cour d'Honneur of the museum, with only the closing evening subject to a fee (ticket office opening soon).

Friday, April 25

MEETINGS

The cycle kicks off on Friday, April 25 at 2pm with an introduction in the form of a dialogue between designer Jeanne Friot and Alexandre Samson, head of collections at the Palais Galliera.
This is followed by 4 round-table discussions on specific themes:

New Cycles at 2:30pm: Reflection on desirable and eco-responsible fashion - Tremplin Mode (Vorlette Fakhri). Duration: 1 hour.
Nouveaux Corps at 3:45pm: Rethinking the body through sartorial transgression - with IFM (Sarah Banon). Length: 1 hr.
Nouveaux Mondes at 5pm: Apparel design through the prism of decolonial studies: questioning fashion from the in-between - with Ecole des Arts Décoratifs-PSL. Duration 1h.
Nouveaux Imaginaires de Mode at 6:15pm: Crossed perspectives on the transformation of clothing narratives and forms, between creation, performance and experimentation - with Ecole Duperré (Mathieu Buard and Céline Mallet). Duration: 1 hr.
