Chine With Me: the vintage thrift shop for reproducing looks from 90s/2000s TV shows and films

Chine With Me is a thrift shop like no other, imagined by Edna in the 11th arrondissement, who is passionate about 90s-2000s pop culture. Here, you can hunt for one-off pieces to re-enact cult looks seen in series such as Buffy, Friends or Charmed, in a cheerfully nostalgic setting.

A unique concept in France has arrived in the 11th arrondissement, founded by Edna, a lover of pop culture and series or films from the 1990s to 2000s. Chine With Me is a thrift store that lets you recreate the cult looks of your favorite characters from that era, from Charmed to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Friends, as well as pop stars from that generation whose style often set the trends!

For the past three years, the young woman has scoured dozens of flea markets, offering her incredible finds in pop-ups. Now she has her own permanent boutique, sparkling and colorful in her own image, with a Totally Spies feel, where you can shop in an almost nostalgic atmosphere, surrounded by references from the teenage years of many of us (and Britney posters, of course).

You'll find everything from vintage pieces from those years to look inspirations, as well as clothes that are truly identical to those worn in your favorite scenes or by your favorite stars, all of which Edna has rediscovered thanks to hours of research and careful selection.

On a regular basis, a new collection is launched, featuring a dozen unique pieces on a specific theme. At the time of our visit, the capsule revolved around pop stars, notably L5, with some absolutely sublime, fairy-tale tops.

As with any thrift store, most pieces are one-offs and one size only, so you'll have to rummage around to find what you're looking for, but there's something to suit every taste, from slightly gothic tofairycore styles, as well as more childlike aesthetics. And all budgets are represented, from 15 euros to 185 euros for the most expensive brand-name pieces. And there's even a small corner dedicated to men!

Here, the clothes are in perfect condition, carefully refurbished or found just as they were, despite being twenty years old! On some tops, for example, not a sequin is missing! Proof if proof were needed that the textile industry a few decades ago was of better quality.

There's no doubt that Edna will take you back to the years of your youth with genuine pleasure, from Wednesday to Sunday, 1pm to 8pm.
