In the Marais, Rabanne’s archives go on display on May 29–30, 2026, through a dedicated exhibition setup. Sketches, design documents and rare pieces trace a journey into the house’s memory, echoing the launch of Griffé’s fourth issue. Talks with former members of the house will extend this immersion into fashion archives and the behind-the-scenes world.

In the Marais, after Mugler, Margiela and Kenzo, it is Rabanne’s turn to pull its archives out of storage for a two-day showcase on May 29 and 30, 2026, staged at 139 rue du Temple. Set inside a 150 m² gallery, the launch of the fourth issue of Griffé magazine will include access to rarely seen pieces: sketches, design documents, and unreleased archives that retrace the making of a house through its traces.

The free tour pushes materials and ideas to the limit: plastics, metals, technical drawings, and fragments of the design process. Here, archives become clues and threads of research that rebuild a history of the house in layered strata, from the early decades through the 2000s.

The lineup kicks off with a masterclass by Tilmann Grawe, Paco Rabanne’s right-hand in the 1990s. He retraces the thread of plastics and metals, weaving between a jewelry workshop and the hands-on making gestures observed up close to the designer, where experimentation becomes a method.

Speaking next are former members of the Paco Rabanne label. They tell the workshop story unfiltered: memories, anecdotes, and technical gestures. The narrative spans from the 1960s to the 2000s, tracing the shifts in artistic direction and what they mean for how creativity is nurtured and passed on.

In a preview, the public gets an early look at the magazine’s fourth issue: 192 pages of archives, enriched by more than 50 testimonies from former collaborators, weaving together stories of creation, backstage workshop details, and the brand’s memory.
