In 2022, regular visitors to the Salon du Livre de Paris discovered a totally transformed event. After two editions cancelled due to the health crisis, the literary fair changed its format to become a festival. From April 11 to 13, 2025, the Paris Book Festival returns for its fourth edition, but at last back at the Grand Palais, after many years outside the walls.
Under the majestic glass roof, celebrate books in all their forms, in the place where they were born. In 1981, the Syndicat National de l'Édition created the Salon du Livre de Paris to showcase the variety of French publishing. The Grand Palais was chosen as the venue for this event, which has become a fixture in the literary world, before moving on to the Porte de Versailles in the 90s and the Grand Palais Ephémère since 2022.
Numerous authors, publishers and booksellers will be on hand to celebrate books and reading, with Morocco as the country of honor. Filmmakers, actors, visual artists and musicians are also invited to take part in this great celebration of culture and reading, with musical readings, comic encounters, writing workshops and the Grande Dictée on April 11.
Many new features await visitors: the Cabaret Extra! with the Centre Pompidou, the Grande Galerie de l'Adaptation and film and TV series previews with the SCELF, the Galerie de la Mer with the Ministère de la Mer and a Children's Village. The full program will be unveiled on the festival website.
Enjoy the show, and happy reading!
