Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2018, the Korea Now festival returns to Paris the week of December 9-15, 2019. The festival aims to bring Korean culture to the general public, highlighting Korean gastronomy, music and cinema. This year, the Musée Guimet is hosting the largest number of activities and events.
The Musée National des Arts Asiatiques - or Musée Guimet - is organizing a special Korean weekend, with a packed program on Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15. Learn the art of calligraphy or Korean knots at workshops open to all upon registration. In the museum's auditorium, enjoy traditional dance, sword fighting and taekwondo. Music lovers can dance to the sounds of DJ Sonkem, Saturday from 2pm.
Don't miss the various groups of K-Pop dancers and performers, veritable Internet phenomena. A dozen or so French and Korean Youtubers are coming to meet their audiences over the weekend. Meet Lilix, Jowti, Seonshin and many others at the Musée Guimet andHôtel Heidelbach.
The Korea Now festival also extends beyond the museum walls. Eight establishments are offering different operations to mark this special week. Restaurants, the Mille-et-Un patisserie and two stores are offering special discounts or gifts during the week of December 9-15.
Find the full festival program on the Korea Now website or on their Facebook page. Stay tuned throughout the week for special offers from the festival's partner establishments.
