For the new year, the Historical Novel Fair lands in Levallois, at the Parc de la Planchette, on June 27 and 28, 2026. This literary event dedicated to History invites the public to dive into gripping works, spanning novels, narratives, essays, comics and biographies, during book signings, debates and free activities, near a centuries-old oak.
Many authors and illustrators will be present this year for two days, from all walks of life, notably Adelaïde de Clermont-Tonnerre, Kaouther Adimi, Christophe Boltanski, Noëlle Châtelet, Antonin Crenn, Victor Dekyvère, Catherine Delors, Paul Greveillac, Pierre Haski, Tobie Nathan, Colombe Schneck, Yasmina Khadra, and Patricia Tourancheau, who will explore a wide range of themes—from antiquity to the modern era.
You will also be able to catch the film Revolution by Hugh Hudson, followed by a discussion, and an exhibition inspired by the graphic album Le Chevalier à reculons by Sophie Lamoureux and François Soutif, along with youth and comics workshops for younger attendees, a giant Snakes and Ladders game for families, and a concert by the Levallois Harmony Orchestra.
You’ll have access to a literary café dedicated to historical novels, where both adult and youth authors can take the floor and present their works during readings and roundtables.
