On May 30, 2026, the town of Antony will host its comic festival, inviting attendees to dive into the fantasy theme through the ninth art. The event’s program features a variety of free activities, from signings and live-drawing performances to workshops!

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the Espace Vasarely in the Hauts-de-Seine opens its doors for the 22nd edition of the comic festival bande-dessinéeDes Bulles dans la Ville”. Organized by the town d'Antony, this must-attend gathering for bédéphiles shifts its focus this year to imaginary worlds. Between author encounters, illustrated concerts and creative workshops, the event invites young and old to dive into universes where magic and fantasy light up the pages.

People come here to watch a live-drawn artist at work, to learn the craft of the comic page, or to celebrate fresh talent at the annual prize-giving ceremony. In the lead-up to the festival, join us on May 27 for the screening of Joann Sfar's Petit Vampire, followed by a drawing workshop at Cinéma Le Sélect at 2 p.m., as well as a digital "BD et magie" workshop (ages 8 and up, registration required).

If admission is free, the most popular workshops and autograph sessions can require a healthy dose of patience or advance registration. Throughout the afternoon, you’ll find a selection of authors and illustrators on the signing roster including Karim Friha (writer in residence), Mathieu Burniat, Léna Canaud, Émilie Gleason, Marie Millotte, Geoffroy Monde, Dorothée de Monfreid, Judith Peignen, Sourya Sihachakr and VanRah.

The festival program

  • 2–6pm: Participatory mural: "The Floating Islands," a giant archipelago to draw with Nathanaël Mikles.
  • 2–6pm: Exhibition: Discover the contest boards themed around magic and vote for the "Audience Award".
  • 2–3:30pm: Workshop creating a comic page on the theme of witches with Judith Peignen (for ages 9 and up, registration required).
