Tennis players at the French Open have the opportunity to win the title at every stage they pass, but also a bigger and bigger check. How much are these amounts?

All top athletes leave with a nice bonus after a victory in their sports. In tennis, it is the performance that will determine the amount ofprize money that the players will receive. And the FrenchOpen, the only clay court tournament in the Grand Slam, offers some of the largest prize money, especially since the overall prize money of 43.6 million euros in 2022 has increased again to 49.6 million euros, an increase of 12.3%.

This is a record amount for the most successful players in the tournament. However, since the covid, a solidarity distribution is in place and the winners are not the ones who benefit the most. Even players who are eliminated in the first round of qualifying will be able to pocket 16,000 euros, and those who lose in the second round 22,000 euros. If they are eliminated in the last round of the qualifiers, they will leave with 34,000 euros. Significant amounts, on which the athletes depend a lot.

Namely, men and women win the same amount! And the winners are of course out of competition, with 2.3 million euros for the men's and women's singles.
