From March 20 to April 30, 2024, the government is inviting you to recycle your used sports equipment, by taking part in the Grande collecte du sport. It's a great way to give your bike or racket a new lease on life, and make it useful to others!

Have you outgrown your tennis racket or surfboard (in Paris, that's understandable)? During a huge garage sale at 2024 collection points all over France, the Grande collecte du sport invites you to give a new life to your used sports equipment, or that you no longer have any use for. Depending on their condition, they can either be recycled in their entirety, or repaired and given to people who need them!

From March 20 to April 30, 2024, visit your nearest point of sale for a spring clean and to make room in your closets. The aim of the event is to collect 2,400 tonnes of sports equipment, so that physical activity is within everyone's reach and increasingly accessible. Collection points include sports retailers such as Décathlon, Intersport and Sport2000, as well as recycling centers.

Among the items you can donate are bicycles, scooters, skates, rollerblades, flippers, swimming masks and goggles, fishing line, paddles, ice skates, camping equipment, pétanque balls, ping-pong rackets and tables, footballs and basketballs, dumbbells and much more. Textiles and sneakers are not accepted.
