From the Paris area, it's difficult to surf on very big waves, the capital being a few hours away from the sea. But some spots propose you to learn how to surf, thanks to static waves !

Paris is clearly not the city where one would go to learn to surf! Located at least two hours away from any ocean, the capital is far from the superb natural spots of the French territory, both in the south of the country and in the islands. This is the reason why the surfing events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place in Tahiti! But thanks to new technologies and static waves, you can still surf in some rare spots in the Paris area!
