The former France captain officially assumed his new duties on September 1. All eyes are now on the first matches of Zidane’s France team at the Stade de France.
The new head coach will thus make his debut in charge of the Blues on Friday, September 25, 2026, in the France against Turkey clash. It will also be the first group-stage match of the 2026/2027 Nations League, to be played at the Kocaeli Stadium in Izmit.
Zinédine Zidane will kick off the action on Monday, September 28 with the Belgium–France clash at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. The new head coach Zidane’s first home match will be on Friday, October 2. For the occasion, France will face Italy in a Stade de France packed to the rafters. Next up is France–Belgium on Monday, October 5, again at the Stade de France. The Italy–France rematch will take place on Thursday, November 12 in Milan. Then join us on Sunday, November 15 in Bordeaux for France–Turkey.
