The Divine Comedy, the famous Northern Irish band formed in 1989 and led by singer-songwriter Neil Hannon, is back in the spotlight with a new album and a new European tour.
On the record front, look out for"Rainy Sunday Afternoon" on September 19, 2025, the successor to 2019's"Office Politics". Revealing a personal orchestral pop style, this 13th opus was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London.
And to celebrate the release of this new opus, The Divine Comedy are hitting the road again with a European tour of some twenty dates. In addition to Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, the band will be stopping off in France for no less than seven concerts.
The festivities kick off on Monday March 2, 2026 with a show at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. In response to strong demand, a second Paris date has been added. It will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The Divine Comedy will continue in Toulouse on March 4, Bordeaux on March 11, Nantes on March 12, Rennes on March 13 and Lille on March 25. It is in this city in the Hauts-de-France region that The Divine Comedy will conclude its European tour.
