Three years after"Cracker Island", Gorillaz return with a new album entitled"The Mountain". Due for release on March 20, 2026, the new record includes collaborations with Black Thought, Omar Souleyman, Asha Puthli, Asha Bhosle, Sparks, Gruff Rhys, Kara Jackson, Yasiin Bey, Paul Simonon, Joe Talbot (IDLES), Johnny Marr, Ajay Prasanna, Trueno and Anoushka Shankar. The virtual rock band led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett has unveiled a first single, dubbed " The Happy Dictator ", a theatrical collaboration with Sparks!
To celebrate the release of this new opus, Gorillaz are preparing to hit the road again in the spring of 2026. To date, 10 concerts have been announced, but only in Ireland and Great Britain. Stops are scheduled in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Belfast, Liverpool and London.
So, what's next? Will Gorillaz be extending their tour and announcing dates elsewhere in Europe in the near future? Can fans expect to see Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett live in Paris soon? No official announcement has yet been made. But it's hard to imagine Gorillaz not making a stopover in France, Germany or the Netherlands on their new tour. So we're keeping our fingers crossed for the addition of new dates. It remains to be seen whether the British virtual band will play indoor venues or festival concerts. Gorillaz 's last Paris concert was in the summer of 2022. That year, the band took over the Bois de Vincennes as part of the We Love Green festival.
