Fans of the psychedelic band CocoRosie know her well. Bianca Casasdy, with her distinctive voice and atypical universe, is taking a break from the musical project she formed with her sister Sierra to publish her first bilingual collection. Entitled"Au bord du ciel", the book is due to hit bookstores on September 21, 2023 (published by Au Diable Vauvert).
To coincide with the book's release, the Maison de la Poésie, nestled in the center of Paris, is opening its doors to Bianca Casady on Friday, October 6, 2023 , for an exclusive reading session that will undoubtedly delight admirers of the American artist.
A chance for the public to discover another facet of the author and poetess. With"Au bord du ciel", Bianca (aka Coco) offers a"delicate and ethereal incantatory melody", posing as a romantic and baroque observer of nature and the elements. Revealing a psychedelic folk poetry, Bianca Casady stands out and confirms her status as an accomplished artist.
We recall that Coco had already published a first collection of poems, entitled"Porno Thietor", in 2016 when she launched her other musical project, Bianca Casady & the CIA.
