The Pretenders in concert at the Salle Pleyel in Paris in October 2024

Did you miss them last September during their two exclusive, intimate concerts at La Maroquinerie? Are you still biting your fingers? Rejoice, because The Pretenders have announced their return to Paris this autumn!

While the Anglo-American band is forced to postpone its UK and European tours due to Chrissie Hynde's knee injury, The Pretenders are taking the opportunity to add new dates, including two in France! Mark your calendars: The Pretenders rendezvous with their French fans on October 2 at the Transbordeur in Lyon, then on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Tickets go on sale on Friday March 1 at 10am.

The Pretenders, formed in 1978, released their new opus on September 15, 2023. Called"Relentless", it follows on from"Hate for sale", released in 2020. Written by singer Chrissie Hynde and guitarist James Walbourne, the album is packed with highly successful tracks such as " Let The Sun Come In ", " Losing My Sense of Taste ", " A Love " and " Merry Widow ". These are tracks that Chrissie Hynde and her bandmates are sure to perform at the Salle Pleyel on October 3.

But the Anglo-American group won't be forgetting to perform some of their many classics either. We look forward to hearing " I'll Stand By You ", " Don't Get Me Wrong " and " Brass in Pocket " live, all carried by the unique voice of Chrissie Hynde, considered by many to be Patti Smith's little sister, and who has inspired so many female artists.
