There are 11 of them. 11 artists—6 women and 5 men—nominated in the "Francophone Revelation of the Year" category at the NRJ Music Awards. This is an opportunity for these young talents, who will find themselves on stage at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes alongside big names such asEd Sheeran, DJ Snake, and Vanessa Paradis.
From Miki to Theodora, Linh, Julien Lieb, Léman, and Dr. Yaro... discover these 11 artists nominated in the categories "Female Francophone Revelation of the Year" and "Male Francophone Revelation of the Year."
Linh, whose real name is Pauline Thisse, appeared on the game show"N'oubliez pas les paroles !" in 2011 with her brother, before joining the first season of The Voice in 2012. But it was in 2021 that the artist was spotted by Gims' Black Star Music label. Linh then opened for the artist on his "Décennie Tour" in 2022. Since then, Linh has released several singles, including "Immortelle" and "Je pense à vous," followed by her EP, entitled "Signé, Linh." Linh is also at the helm of her first full-length album, "Boîte à musique," released on October 10, 2025.
Born in Rennes and of Brazilian origin, Luiza Fernandes Viana made a name for herself in 2020 when the artist Fakear featured her on his track "Rituals." But it was her hit "Soleil Bleu," released in the summer of 2025, that really propelled her into the spotlight. The track ranked number one on several streaming platforms and became one of the most played songs on NRJ's summer 2025 playlist. On January 14, Luiza released her first solo EP, entitled "Fantastik."
Her participation in the twelfth season of "Star Academy" allowed Marguerite to perform some notable duets during the show's prime-time episodes, including those with Hoshi, Clara Luciani, and Pierre Garnier. Since last spring, Marguerite has been the talk of the town thanks to her first hit single, "Les filles, les meufs."
Is it still necessary to introduce Marine? French singer-songwriter and musician Marine Delplace, known as Marine, made a name for herself in 2024 when she took part in the television show "Star Academy," winning the twelfth season. Since then, Marine has released her first album, entitled "Cœur maladroit." The artist is also preparing to embark on a series of concerts across France.
Miki, whose real name is Mikaela Helena Duplay, released her first single, "Moi je," in 2020. Since then, Miki has released several tracks, including her first EP, "4X," and the singles "Échec et mat" and "Cartoon Sex." The French-Korean artist has also worked with Metronomy and Faux Real on the song "Contact High." In 2025, Miki unveiled two new tracks, "Particule" and "Roger Rabbit," and the EP "Graou." Since October 3, 2025, Miki has been promoting her first full-length album, "Industry plant," which includes the tracks "Poly-Pocket," "Hajima," "Switch Switch," and "Miki Cowboy."
Everything seems to be going well for Theodora! In 2024, the Franco-Congolese artist made a name for herself with her single "Kongolese sous BBL." In 2025, Theodora became the second most listened to French-speaking artist in France, behind Aya Nakamura, according to Billboard. As proof of her fame, Theodora will give four sold-out concerts at the Zénith in Paris in 2026!
Dr. Yaro, whose real name is Mohamed Ertan, started rapping at the age of 14. Together with his cousin, they formed the duo Dr Yaro et La Folie, and caught the attention of some big names in rap, including Gradur, KeBlack, and Gims. They then went on to release a string of new tracks and collaborations. It was in 2024, with the single "Caramelo," that Dr. Yaro's solo career really took off. This year, the artist has released the singles "Simba," "Que pasa?" and "Tout doux."
Guy2Bezbar, whose real name is Guy Fernand Kapata, is far from being a beginner. The rapper and singer released his first mixtape in 2015. Six years later,Guy2Bezbar unveiled his first studio album, "Coco Jojo," which features collaborations with Hamza, Tayc, and Zkr. In 2022,Guy2Bezbar made headlines again with his collaboration with rapper Leto and the release of their joint album,"Jusqu'aux étoiles."
Author, composer, performer, and sound engineer. Joé Dwèt Filémadehis debut in the Afro-Caribbean scene by composing songs for big names in zouk and kompa. The artist made a name for himself by composing the hit songs "Que toi" by Stony, "Mama He" by Vegedream, and "Un mot" by Axel Tony. But the desire to compose and sing his own songs became too strong. Finally, in 2019, the artist launched his solo career with the release of his very first album, entitled "À deux." This was followed in 2021 by the albums "Calypso" and then "Daddy 9" in 2023. As proof of his fame, the artist took over the Accor Arena in Paris in December 2024.
Like several other artists nominated for the NRJ Music Awards this year, Julien Lieb is also a Star Academy alum. That was in 2023. Just two months after reaching second place in the Star Academy final, Julien Lieb released his very first single, "Encore une fois," quickly followed by the track "Le Jeu." His first album, entitled "Naufragé," was released on September 26.
After starting out as the lead singer of the band Hokins, Léman embarked on a solo career and joined season 6 of the show "The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix." He was part of Zazie's team, but did not make it past the Battles round. Since then, Léman has released the single "JVQTSM" and the EP "On est plein," not to mention numerous collaborations, notably with the band Kitchen Sink and Tale Kerimli. Most recently, Léman released "Adieu musique," a track from his first studio album, which also features the songs "On descend à l'arrêt," "Le Chat," and "Dis-moi."
