The famous ceremony of the NRJ Music Awards returned to the Palais des festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, the event’s historic venue since it was first held. Hosted by Nikos Aliagas, the ceremony of the NRJ Music Awards took place on Friday, October 23, 2026.
As a reminder, the NRJ Music Awards bring together the biggest French and international stars every year for the only awards ceremony where the winners are chosen by the public. Over the years, the event has become one of the year’s must-attend music events. It’s also a chance to catch some major artists performing live. This year, David Guetta shared a surprise duet with Quebec singer Charlotte Cardin, who has just announced a new French tour, including a stop at Bercy in 2027.
M Pokora, the artist with the most NRJ Music Awards to his name, also took to the stage on Friday night to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his first nomination in 2006. Also memorable were the duet between Tayc and Anyme, and the performance by Adèle Castillon.
Among the winners, Marine took home the award for Francophone Female Artist of the Year! M. Pokora won the award for Francophone Male Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, American artist Djo was named International Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Anyme won the award for Francophone Male Breakthrough Artist of the Year, while Ambre received the award for Francophone Female Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
