Les Inrocks Festival is the must-attend event for indie music fans every year. For 35 editions now, the cultural magazine has been selecting its favorites to concoct a particularly cutting-edge festival. Over the years, we've seen Bat for Lashes, Ebony Bones, The Soft Pack, the Ting Tings, Marina and the Diamonds, LCD Soundsystem, The Bewitched Hands and, more recently, Spiritualized, Electric Guest and The Vaccines.
A veritable anthology of the best in pop, new wave, rock, garage and electro, Les Inrocks Festival returns to Paris this winter. This year, Les Inrocks Festival takes over the intimate venue of Le Centquatre, as well as the unusual and prestigious setting of the Bourse de Commerce, a famous cultural venue in the capital's 1st arrondissement. And for this 35th edition, Les Inrocks Festival is changing dates. Usually scheduled in the autumn, this Parisian music event will this time be doing your ears good from February 27 to March 2, 2024.
Who has the honor of making you dance after Lounge Society, Sofie Royer, Martin Rev and Ride in 2022? Well, Les Inrocks Festival has pulled out all the stops, announcing the arrival of The Libertines, the headliner of this 35th edition!
The British rock band, led by Pete Doherty and Carl Barât, will be taking over the great nave of Le Centquatre on Thursday, February 29, 2024, for an intimate show that's sure to be the envy of many, especially as the English outfit are due to unveil their fourth opus,"All Quiet On the Eastern Esplanade", on March 8, 2024.
This is an opportunity for The Libertines to revisit some of their most famous hits, as the band had already done at the Inrocks Festival in 2002, when they had just released the resounding"Up the Bracket".
Want more? The Parisian music event also confirms the arrival of the talented Lucie Antunes, British phenomenon Fat Dog and L'Rain, the pseudonym of Brooklyn's Taja Cheek, not forgetting de Bracco for a carte blanche with Etienne Daho, alongside Faux Real and Unloved.
