NO(S) DAMES, the show at the Trianon in support of the Maison des Femmes

With NO(S) DAMES, countertenor Théophile Alexandre and the women's quartet Zaïde revisit 4 centuries of abused opera heroines by daring to reverse the roles: women are in charge of the musical direction, men are in charge of the divas' agonies! A show to be discovered at the Trianon in Paris on April 11 at 8pm, in support of the Maison des Femmes.

Stabbed, strangled, burned alive, committed suicide, defenestrated, poisoned... In 4 centuries of male operas, the fate inflicted on heroines is as tragic as their arias are sublime...
What if, for thefirst time, drama no longer rhymed with lady? What if the roles were reversed?

A humanist lyrical project, NO(S) DAMES dares to pay a disgusting tribute to opera heroines by redistributing the agonies of divas to a man, the countertenor Théophile ALEXANDRE, and the musical direction to the women of the Quatuor ZAÏDE, to reinvent the great arias of Carmen, Manon, Norma, Violetta, The Queen of the Night... Beyond their past gender fatalities.
