For its opening program, and as part of the Journées du Patrimoine, the Festival d'Automne, 2023 edition, invites Alessandro Sciarroni. The Italian choreographer will present the world premiere of his performative installation entitled "Iris". Discover it free of charge (reservation required) in the Butte-aux-Cailles indoor swimming pool on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17, 2023.

Back to school in 2023, a whole host of cultural and artistic events are taking place. For fans of contemporary creation, don't miss the latest edition of the Festival d'Automne.

Described as multidisciplinary, international and nomadic, the Festival d'Automne has been an unmissable cultural event in Paris since its creation in 1972. Over the course of several weeks, it showcases a wide range of works in disciplines as diverse as theater, music, dance, visual arts and cinema, and provides support for artists.

And as always, the Festival d'Automne offers an opening program. This year, join us on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17, 2023, for a free (reservation required) performance installation by Alessandro Sciarroni entitled"Iris". Offered as part of the Journées du Patrimoine and the Festival Formes, this unprecedented performance - presented in Paris as a world premiere - is sure to cast a spell.

For"Iris", Italian choreographer Alessandro Sciarroni invites the public to move around the different spaces of the Butte-aux-Cailles indoor swimming pool, with swimmers and a musical ensemble, Ensemble Dynamique, directed by Oussama Mhanna.

Alessandro Sciarroni is no stranger to Paris. He made a name for himself on the European stage in 2012 with his trilogy"Will you still love me tomorrow? In 2022, he presented the world premiere of"Dream" at Le Centquatre, an extraordinary proposition between installation and performance. This time, with"Iris", the choreographer goes even further, taking over an historic site in Paris - in this case, the Butte-aux-Cailles swimming pool - to present a performance combining art and sport, in reference to the eagerly-awaited Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Join us on September 16 and 17, 2023 at the Butte-aux-Cailles swimming pool to discover"Iris" (duration, 1h15). The event is free of charge, but reservations are required (opening at the end of August).
