Delon, le dernier Samouraï promises a unique experience, as this is the first time a ciné concert has been organized in the actor's honor. Cinemascope images will be projected to the rhythm of music from the films: Plein Soleil(1960), Rocco et ses frères (1960), Le Guépard (1963), Mélodie en sous-sol (1963), L'Insoumis (1964), Paris brûle-t-il (1966), Le Samouraï (1967), Les aventuriers (1967), Le Clan des Siciliens(1969), La piscine (1969), Borsalino (1970), Le Cercle Rouge (1970), La Veuve Couderc (1971), Un Flic (1972), Deux hommes dans la ville (1973), Flic Story (1975), Zorro (1975), Monsieur Klein (1976), Mort d'un pourri (1977).
The symphonic film concert Delon, le dernier Samouraï (Delon, the last Samurai) will be premiered at the Palais des Congrès on November 8, in aid of the Alzheimer's Research Foundation, of which Alain Delon was Honorary Chairman. The Alzheimer's Research Foundation, created in 2004, is dedicated to funding scientific research into Alzheimer's disease and neurodegenerative disorders. In addition to funding research, the foundation raises public awareness of the importance of combating these pathologies, which affect millions of people worldwide.
Alain Delon's career spans more than six decades. Born in 1935, he rose to fame in the 1960s with roles in cult films such as Plein Soleil (1960) and Le Samouraï (1967), giving rise to the name of the symphonic ciné concert Delon, le dernier Samouraï. Delon has worked with such great directors as Luchino Visconti, Jean-Pierre Melville and Michelangelo Antonioni. Considered a French "sex symbol", Alain Delon has attracted over 140 million cinema-goers!
