He’s a character known from Charles Perrault’s fairy tales or, more recently, from animated feature films dedicated to him: Puss in Boots makes his comeback in 2026, this time as a musical comedy! The Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse is bringing back Puss in Boots, the musical, a family show to enjoy until May 31, 2026. Suitable for children as young as 3, it runs on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as during school holidays.
The story is now a classic: when a young miller inherits a simple cat - unlike his brothers, whose inheritance is far more substantial - he has no idea of the animal's talents. Wearing boots in all circumstances, and with a particularly sharp mind, Puss in Boots is as cunning as it is combative, enabling his master to become the Marquis de Carabas.
Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters: an exuberant Queen, a Princess on a quest for true love, and a formidable Ogre to defeat. Adapted and directed by Samuel and Julien Jafa, based on Charles Perrault's original fairy tale, this production was recognized last year with two awards: the 2025 Young Audience Musical Theatre Trophy and the 2025 Male Revelation Award for Nathan Desnyder.
