Bartabas, the horseman who whispers in his horses' ears, invites you to discover his latest show at the Zingaro equestrian theater, which he founded at the Fort d'Aubervilliers in 1989. Les Cantiques du Corbeau focuses this year on the theme of man's place among the living, after having explored the culture of Irish Travellers and Persian women. Join us from October 15 to December 31, 2025 to enjoy an equestrian show that invites you into the heart of a poetic meditation.
In this new creation,Bartabas takes a different approach to equestrian theater: "the horses will no longer be the bearers of feats or, by their mere presence, the affirmation of an animal grace, but rather apparitions like visions, plastic rather than choreographic gestures". For the occasion, musicians from the group Patcha Indra, a Balinese gamelan, a traditional Indonesian instrumental ensemble, will accompany a fantastical tale about the origins of mankind, a dreamlike prehistory where man and beast are one.
Under the big top, the audience hears a series of songs and brief lives told in the first person by a protagonist who is neither gendered, nor described, nor geographically located. Each actor takes on the role of a song, delivering his or her story like a confession before disappearing into the spectator's memory.
