The plot unfolds on a cold December night. Seven strangers meet in an almost empty bar, each fleeing an oppressive daily routine. All are looking for inspiration or solace, waiting for a Muse who is slow in coming. Faced with this wait, they are forced to talk to each other, to discover each other, to confront each other.
Each character embodies a societal stereotype from which he or she is trying to break free. In this poetic, choral huis clos, words flow between comic collective scenes and intimate monologues, forming a kaleidoscopic picture of the quest for identity. The text, between humor and melancholy, reveals the desire to be seen and understood in a world where solitude seems overwhelming.

The show is aimed at audiences aged 13 and over, interested in contemporary forms of storytelling and intimate questioning brought to the stage. It will appeal to audiences attentive to the emergence of young artists trained at the Cours Florent, and sensitive to plays where the collective and the individual intersect. On the other hand, fans of classical dramaturgy or light comedy may find it less appealing.
Featuring a cast of young actors(Charie Asher, Axel d'Heilly, Orianne Dumeny, Robin Echard, Carlo Gamalero, Théo Leroy and Loïck Philippe), After Dark continues the work begun by Clémence L with Au large en 2024. The play is directed by the author herself, assisted by Garance Diamy.
