With Wolf, presented from January 14 to 24, 2026 at the Théâtre Silvia Monfort, Australian company Circa offers an acrobatic immersion on the border between the wild and the human. Renowned for its pure, intense creations, Circa returns with a new work, as yet unseen in France, in which ten performers give shape to an instinctive, visceral energy.
The stage becomes a field of tensions and impulses, where the bodies, with their dizzying lifts, caught falls, head-on acrobatics and choreographed bursts, evoke the pack as much as the individual alone in the face of danger. The aesthetic is deliberately raw, the rhythm sustained, and physicality omnipresent. Light and sound underline the physical drama at play in the alliances and confrontations between the performers. Through this language of movement, Wolf explores what remains of our primitive instincts beneath the civilized surface.
This show will appeal to fans of contemporary circus and demanding physical performance, as well as those sensitive to artistic proposals combining visual power and raw emotion. Audiences in search of a classical narrative or isolated numbers may be confused by the choral and abstract construction of the piece, which privileges the expression of the body as a central language.
With Wolf, Circa pushes the boundaries of their refined yet untamed circus even further, where animal energy ignites in a collective movement as impressive as it is sensitive.
