Did you know that Paris has its own wine museum? Located in the capital's 16th arrondissement, this historic institution invites you to stroll through its 15th-century vaulted cellars and discover all the secrets of wine culture. Renovated and renamed M. Musée du Vin, the venue promises a rich program of restaurants, tasting courses, taste experiences, temporary exhibitions, concerts and Parisian soirées.

Paris, the capital of French gastronomy, is brimming with culinary treasures, and among them is an unusual spot that's sure to charm wine and history lovers alike: the Musée du Vin. The institution is nestled on rue des Eaux, in the capital's 16th arrondissement. A name that may make you smile, yet its location owes nothing to chance...

The museum is located on an ancient winegrowing estate dating back to the 6th century, known as Nigeon and later as the village of Chaillot. Much later, the village of Passy was built on the site, exploiting old quarries to make wine cellars. After the French Revolution, the site was destroyed and fell into oblivion, before the quarries were rediscovered in the 20th century.

Today, these medieval quarries, dating from the 15th century, house the Musée du Vin, which opened its doors in 1984. As you explore its vaulted cellars, you'll plunge into the history of this French heritage treasure, thanks to a collection of over 2,200 items. The museum unveils the various stages in wine-making, offering an enriching experience for wine lovers and the curious alike.

After several months of renovation, the Musée du Vin, renamed Mr. Musée du Vin, has been transformed into a cultural and festive venue, with tasting classes, temporary exhibitions, concerts and events to liven up Parisian nights. Also a haven for gourmets, the venue houses a restaurant where you can savor French cuisine based on seasonal produce, prepared by Chef Marc Ranger.

The experience at Le M. Musée du Vin is further enriched by the annex: Le M. L'Appartement, located on the second floor of the private mansion that houses the museum. This versatile space offers tasting classes, lectures, a bar for tasting sessions hosted by chef Valentin Néraudeau (Top Chef 2013) and even a room for luxury wine weekends!

Beyond the exhibition, the M. Musée du Vin is a place of many discoveries, celebrating French wine culture. An intoxicating gourmet experience to be discovered in an unusual setting!
