RER A: works and closures scheduled until the end of 2025

Throughout the year, RATP undertakes modernization work on the various lines of its network, whether metro, RER or tramway. This work will continue over the coming weeks, notably on metro lines 10 and 12. Line A of the RER will also be affected. Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens has announced.

As a result, disruptions are expected for users of the RER A line, which links Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Cergy and Poissy to the west, and Boissy-Saint-Léger and Marne-la-Vallée to the east, passing through the center of Paris.

So, what can we expect over the coming days and weeks? In detail, RATP warns that work will be carried out on the Poissy and Cergy-le-Haut branches during evenings and weekends. The work is part of two projects: regular maintenance and industrialized rail renewal (RRI) on the Cergy-le-Haut line.

RER A: upcoming works and closures

According to Ma Ligne A

On the Cergy - Le Haut axis

• From September 22 to December 19, 2025: no RER A service Monday to Friday, from 10 p.m./22.30 p.m. (substitute buses).
  
  
• Weekends of November 15 and 16, 22 and 23 and 29 and 30, 2025: RER A trains in the Poissy direction will exceptionally serve stations on the Cergy - Le Haut axis, resulting in longer journey times.
  
  
• From October 28 to Saturday December 13, 2025: the first OPEN02 (Tuesday to Friday) and OPPE14 (Saturday) trains will be replaced by a bus between Cergy - Le Haut and Maisons-Laffitte.

On the Poissy route

• From October 20 to 30, 2025: no RER A service Monday to Friday, from 10 pm to 10.30 pm (replacement buses).
  
  
• Weekend of December 20 and 21, 2025: no RER A
