Journées de l'Architecture 2025: family workshops at the Musée des Plans-Reliefs

Autumn in Paris is not all rest and relaxation: events and meetings follow one another without respite, much to our delight. After the Fête de la Science, the Art Basel fair and the Monument Jeu d'Enfant event, it's now the turn of the Journées nationales de l'Architecture to introduce us to new horizons.

For its 10th edition, this cultural event will take place on October 18, 2025 in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Dozens of museums, schools, heritage sites and places of interest will be organizing special tours and events. The aim: to highlightarchitecture, its treasures, its professions and its importance, through encounters and workshops designed for the general public.

The Musée des Plans-Reliefs, housed in the Hôtel National des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement, is once again taking part in the Journées de l'Architecture. For the occasion, the museum welcomes curious young and old alike, for a day of fun and educational discoveries, with special activities. Please note: reservations are essential!

On the program for the Journées de l'Architecture at the Musée des Plans-Reliefs:

• Family workshop "At the time of the citadels" - Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

After a presentation of the collection and an introduction to bastioned fortification in front of the models, children build a small model of a bastioned front. This workshop introduces them to the shapes, vocabulary and design of fortification in the era of Louis XIV and Vauban. The children leave with their own creation!

An activity that could well create vocations among children!
