For the Journées nationales de l'Architecture in Paris, the Cité de l'Architecture near Trocadéro is offering a program of screenings, exhibitions and guided tours from October 17 to 19, 2025.

The Journées Nationales de l'Architecture are back in Paris and the Île-de-France region from October 17 to 19, 2025. It's one of the best events on the cultural calendar, bringing together enthusiasts of heritage, both ancient and recent, through a vast program of events, often free of charge, focusing on the works of architects.

A great way to discover the treasures of theParis region. For the occasion, participating sites are offering a variety of unusual programs, including architectural tours, workshops for young and old, and surprise events.

And one of the must-see venues for the Journées de l'Architecture is the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, a fascinating place that awaits you inside the Palais de Chaillot, on Place du Trocadéro, one of the capital's most iconic spots! Inaugurated in 2007, it's the world's largest architecture center! Throughout the year, you'll find exciting exhibitions, conferences and workshops.

The program for the Journées Nationales de l'Architecture 2025 at the Cité de l'Architecture :

  • Screening of L'inconnu de la Grande Arche - Friday, October 17, 2025 from 7pm to 10pm

Preview screening of Stéphane Demoustier's film, followed by a discussion in the presence of the director and film crew
Presentation and moderation: Jean-Yves de Lépinay. 1982. François Mitterrand launches an unprecedented anonymous architectural competition to build an emblematic edifice in the axis of the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe. To everyone's surprise, Danish architect Johan Otto von Spreckelsen, unknown in France, wins. In partnership with Paul Andreu, he quickly came up against the complexities of reality and the vagaries of politics.

  • Mute exhibition - Fabienne Verdier - Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Artist Fabienne Verdier invests the medieval and classical gallery with her sumptuous paintings. A surprising dialogue between past and present.

  • Les impromptus tours - Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Mediators from the Cité de l'architecture come to meet you and present everyday architecture in 20 minutes top chrono. Every hour from 11:30 a.m.

  • L'Agenda des jeunes architectes et paysagistes - Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 11 am to 7 pm

Discover the future greats of contemporary architecture. They have been honored for their achievements or projects.
For the first time, the list of winners includes architecture graduates who, while not practicing project management in their own right, are exploring other professional avenues: graphic representation, project management, contracting, scenography, cultural mediation and much more.
