25 years of artistic creation in one exhibition... The Palais de Tokyo invites you to discover Disco, a retrospective by artist Vivian Suter, from June 13 to September 8, 2025. This immersive project, named after one of the artist's dogs, brings together almost 500 canvases painted over two decades in the artist's garden in Panajachel, Guatemala.

Works as prolific as certain plants

Vivian Suter, who has lived in Guatemala since the 1980s, conceives her work in close relationship with the surrounding nature. The paintings, produced on a daily basis, capture both the artist's gestures and the marks left by vegetation, animals and the elements.

Untitled and undated, these canvases are freely arranged, stacked or hung, forming a proliferating installation. This process is part of a reflection on " the serene, lucid acceptance of the climatic conditions that impact our lives, and of the finitude of works of art ".
