The Seven Heavenly Senses: an exhibition mixing genres and eras at Hôtel de la Marine

For the first time, the Al Thani Collection at the Hôtel de la Marine brings together the old and the new, with a groundbreaking exhibition on view from June 27 to October 5, 2025. The Seven Celestial Senses exhibition brings together contemporary works as well as antique objects, in a journey that demonstrates the richness of this collection.

Some forty pieces from different periods are on display. The old and the new respond to each other, question each other, complement each other: the works highlighted show the evolution of forms, materials and techniques, the heritage of the past and the innovations of the present.

The Seven Heavenly Senses exhibition also stimulates our physical senses. Pieces from the Al Thani Collection stimulate our sight, our hearing, our sense of smell... These works appeal - directly or indirectly - to our sense of taste, touch, balance and movement, and even to our spiritual or immaterial senses.

The exhibition's sober scenography is designed to plunge visitors into a timeless sensory universe, leaving the works to shine. To accompany this journey, contemporary singer-songwriter Zsela has imagined an original soundtrack that accompanies us through each room.

TheHôtel de la Marine offers us a small, intimate exhibition that introduces us to new artists and new horizons.
