Sculptures en l'Île 2025, the free outdoor contemporary art exhibition, returns to Andrésy (Yvelines) from June 14 to September 28, 2025, on the riverbanks and Nancy Island, after being cancelled in 2024. A not-to-be-missed artistic event just a stone's throw from Paris.

After a year of silence, Sculptures en l'Île returns to Andrésy, in the Yvelines department, for an eagerly awaited 27th edition. A staple of the outdoorcontemporary art scene since 1997, this b event invites us to discover a series of works and installations along an immersive route onÎle Nancy, in the heart of nature, as well as in the Hôtel de Ville park. This year's theme,"Au f'île de l'eau", celebrates water as a source of life, inspiration and ecological reflection.

The event officially kicks off on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with a vernissage open to all, a first since the event's inception. Starting at 3 p.m., a guided tour is offered, followed at 5 p.m. by an inaugural ceremony in the presence of the artists, and a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., in a convivial atmosphere. The event takes place onÎle Nancy, accessible free of charge by river shuttle from 4 boulevard Noël-Marc.

Cancelled in 2024 for economic reasons, the exhibition is being revived this year thanks to strong local mobilization. Entirely financed by private sponsorship, it relies on the commitment of numerous associative, educational and cultural partners, and a tight budget of €40,000. An exemplary rebirth, as Virginie Saint-Marcoux, deputy minister for culture, points out: "This edition relies on a precious strength: that of our associative fabric and our local partners, who have pooled their energies to bring this collective project back to life".

In terms of works of art, this 2025 edition offers an eclectic range: from monumental sculptures to ephemeral installations and poetic creations, often interacting with the natural elements. Among the expected artists are Pierre Jaggi and his hybrid creatures, Anne-Emmanuelle Maire with her steel impalas, and Grégory Brizou and his suspended jellyfish. And let's not forget Vladimir Skoda's metallic spheres, reflecting the landscape in hypnotic plays of light.

Accessible by free river shuttle from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 7pm,Nancy Island becomes anopen-air art showcase. Free guided tours are offered on weekends at 11am and 3pm, for total immersion in the works and their stories. The perfect opportunity for a cultural getaway less than an hour from Paris, in the heart of the Seine Valley.
