Indian culture invites itself to the Musée Guimet in Paris on Saturday September 27 and Sunday September 28, 2025. For an entire weekend, the famous Parisian museum dedicated to Asian arts invites us to discover the festival of Durga Puja through themed tours, encounters, performances and a puppet show.

Throughout the year, the Musée Guimet invites us to travel through a series of exhibitions and events of all kinds. Before heading off to Japan with the"Manga, tout un art" exhibition, the famous Parisian museum transports us to India, to discover the Durga Puja festival.

For an entire weekend, on Saturday September 27 and Sunday September 28, 2025, the Musée Guimet is organizing a series of events combining themed tours, encounters, performances, DJ sets and puppet shows. The aim? To immerse us in the festival of Durga Puja, the traditional spiritual and artistic celebration that is so popular in India. Every year, this event commemorates the victory of the goddess Durga, mother of the universe in the Hindu religion, over the demon Mahisha.

To mark the occasion, the Musée Guimet invites the public to enjoy a series of tours and performances on September 27 and 28, 2025. Please note that the performances, tours, lectures and literary encounters are free of charge, but only on presentation of a museum ticket. There is a charge for the puppet show.
