For a week in October, the Grand Palais becomes the epicenter of the contemporary art world. The Paris landmark hosts the international fair Art Basel, a major showcase that spotlights artists and galleries from around the globe. Alongside this fair, several exhibitions and galleries are organized in the capital.
Art Basel offers an off-site program that invites passersby to discover contemporary works in the streets, parks and squares of Paris. All around the Grand Palais, a true outdoor museum awaits curious visitors and art lovers from October 20 to 25, 2026. Several installations can be found on Winston Churchill Avenue, in the Jean Perrin square and on Place Clémenceau.

It is flanked by several monuments and points of interest: the Petit and Grand Palais, the Palais de la Découverte, the Marigny Theatre, the statue of General de Gaulle, and that of Georges Clémenceau...
From October 20–25, 2026, a temporary installation brightens the square. The renowned artist Robert Indiana presents Love Wall, a sculpture that stands as a symbol of peace and love. You may not know his name, but his works have traveled the globe: Indiana stacks blocks bearing the letters of the word LOVE, creating a motif that can be repeated, tweaked, and rearranged.
