This weekend, we're off to discover theArchéosite, an educational site that takes you into the daily lives of prehistoric men and women, from the Parc de la Haute-île in Neuilly-sur-Marne: an opportunity to discover how our ancestors lived and survived the centuries.
So it's a chance to go back in time, and even centuries, to discover how people ate, dressed and hunted in the Middle Ages, Roman Gaul, theModern Age, theMetal Age, the Neothilitic period...
What's on the program? Permanent and temporary exhibitions await you, as well as numerous workshops for children, with themes specific to each major period in history: stone-cutting in the Middle Ages (when construction of the Saint-Denis basilica began), jewelry-making in the metal age, and more. You can also watch stone-cutting demonstrations, learn how to make your own bread by grinding seeds, or take part in the tours offered by theArchéosite's mediators.
The site is open in fine weather, every Sunday from mid-May to mid-October, from 1:30 pm to 6 pm. All activities are free and open to all, some with free admission, others requiring reservations on theExplore Paris website.
