" Art professions are manual crafts. They mobilize traditional skills of high technicality, often exceptional ": this definition from the French Ministry of Culture can only make art and culture lovers dream.
To highlight these skills and the creations of France's great masters, the Institut national des métiers d'art has been organizing the JEMA ( Journées européennes des métiers d'art) since 2002. In the spring, numerous establishments open their doors to the curious to let us discover their passion, their work and their creations.
In Paris, many sites are taking part in this free event, open to the general public: museums, institutes, châteaux, workshops, theaters... It's a chance to go behind the scenes and meet the people who bring French culture and know-how to life!
The Monnaie de Paris is inviting the public from April 7 to 12, 2026, to celebrate the 20th edition of JEMA (Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Art). This historic institution is opening its doors to showcase its collections and intangible cultural heritage through a variety of tours and activities suitable for all ages.
