National Architecture Days are back on October 17 and 18, 2026, in Paris and the Île-de-France region. A weekend-long chance to explore offbeat and historic sites, while taking part in workshops and meetings with architects.

Established in 2015, the National Architecture Days offer a platform to explore the sublime architectural works in Paris and Île-de-France with architects, while also unveiling a host of hidden gems. Initiated by the Ministry of Culture, the event runs over a full weekend, from October 17 to 18, 2026, under the theme “Rehabilitate: Building the Future.”

Youngsters and the curious can take advantage of the opportunity to find out more about the profession of architect, thanks to the presence of numerous professionals. Special days are also being organized this weekend and next to give the general public the chance to discover private apartments and houses, in the company of the owners.

Nearly 1,200 events are scheduled across the country, including debates, visits to architectural firms, buildings and worksites, urban walks, exhibitions, film screenings and educational workshops.

The theme centers on renewal — breathing new life into historic buildings while staying true to their stories and distinctive features. Making the most of what's already there while keeping an eye on the future is a challenge of real scale! The programme of this edition 2026 is unveiled on the event's official site. As every year, visitors can enjoy activities across the great cultural institutions of Paris and the Île-de-France region, such as the Musée des Arts et Métiers, the musée des Plans-Reliefs, the Maison de l'Architecture, or the MAC-VAL, musée de l'art contemporain.

Once again this year, you can expect to enjoy over a hundred events in the Île-de-France region. Here is a selection of places to visit during the Journées nationales de l'Architecture, updated as the program is released.
