For more than 30 years, theAssociation Française d'Astronomie (AFA) has been organizing the Nuits des Etoiles, bringing together 250 astronomy clubs, tourist offices and even vacation centers to organize night-time sky-watching events. Once again this year, we invite you to Parc Montsouris in Paris, on August 11, 2023, to admire the stars from 9pm.
It's a free way for curious people of all ages to discover astronomy, and we're hoping for good weather and clear skies. The AFA is also organizing a marathon of 20 evenings of free observation open to all in the capital's parks, under the name Paris sous les Etoiles, with sky-spotting workshops. If you miss Starry Night, don't worry, Parc Montsouris will still be able to welcome you this summer with its telescopes open to all!
It's the perfect place for the whole family to marvel, in the heart of one of the capital's most beautiful parks, and to learn all about the planets and stars visible from the Paris skies - ideal for admiring the Perseids in August!
