The Château de Monte-Cristo takes us back to the 19th century, to enjoy a festive day in period costume in the home of Alexandre Dumas. See you on Sunday, June 16, 2024 for an unusual stroll!

We love castles: discovering their architecture and history, strolling through their gardens, admiring the works of art they contain. And what we love most of all is imagining who has trodden this monument before us. Who were these noble individuals, and what did they look like?

This question can easily be answered, thanks to the period costume day organized by the Château de Monte-Cristo on Sunday June 16, 2024, starting at 2pm.

During this wonderful afternoon, actors from Artistes et compagnie and Ankreation stroll through the château and Monte Cristo's residence in magnificent 19th-century costumes, in the style of Dumas. During your visit, you may come across these characters from another time, and even witness songs or theatrical sketches.

It's a day to re-enact the heyday ofAlexandre Dumas, who loved to entertain and entertain his guests in his carefully tended estate and gardens. The costume day is therefore an opportunity to admire the architecture of the Château du Port-Marly, as well as the beautiful period costumes of the actors, who immerse us in the social events of the artistic elite of the 19th century.

And of course, there's nothing to stop you from joining in the fun, in costume too! Shall we meet at Monsieur Dumas'?
