July 14, 2024: fireworks at the Château de Versailles, Fête Nationale at the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes

In France, we celebrate Bastille Day on July 14th. Every year, this festive day is marked by traditional events such as the military parade down the Champs Elysées and the fireworks display in every corner of the country, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Looking for a great way to enjoy the festivities on July 14, 2024? Why not celebrate it at the Château de Versailles?

The home of the Sun King is offering us the chance to enjoy the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes on the evening of the Fête Nationale. It's a 2.5-hour stroll through the fabulous gardens designed by André Le Nôtre. Usually held on Saturday evenings, the fountains are lit up for the occasion, to the rhythm of baroque music that takes us through the centuries. On a summer's evening, another face of the Château de Versailles is revealed.

From there, you'll need to find your spot to admire the fabulous fireworks display that bringsthe Grandes Eaux Nocturnes to a close.
