Every year, Thoiry Zoo welcomes a number of new arrivals. After the litter of baribal cubs, the spectacled bear cub and the other births of the year, two little lionesses have just come out for the first time in September 2023.

Thoiry Zoo recently announced some exciting news for its visitors: after the birth of two baby lionesses on June 22, they spent a few weeks with their mothers, before making their first official appearance in the lion enclosure in mid-August. Since then, the two little queens of the savannah have been the delight of visitors large and small, who have come to watch them play all day long.

The birth of these two lionesses is a real source of hope for Thoiry ZooSafari, which welcomes every birth of the species, which is threatened in its natural environment and classified as "Vulnerable" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). When you come to Thoiry Zoo, you can watch Sana and Sarabi, the two baby lionesses, from the feline glass tunnel!
