Medieval festivals are all the rage! Many towns that were built in the Middle Ages are taking advantage of this craze for the period by recreating genuine period festivals, with a host of exceptional events. In the Val-d'Oise region, on October 12 and 13, 2024, you'll have the chance to step back in time in Luzarches, at the Château de la Motte, for two timeless days to enjoy with the whole family!
Young and old alike are expected to attend this huge festival at the foot of the ancient fortifications, where you can watch falconry shows, acrobatics and juggling demonstrations, real knights' tournaments, Viking battles and medieval scenes depicting the customs and life of the time. Join in the dancing at this larger-than-life encampment, and get your knighthood honored!
Nearly 50 exhibitors and artisans will be on hand at a medieval market, providing a unique shopping experience. You'll discover Viking and medieval camp life among costumed people, with interactive activities, games, archery and even workshops, giving you the chance to try your hand at stone carving or wool making!
