Did you know that Maisons-Laffitte, an elegant town in the Yvelines department (78), was nicknamed the "City of Horses" for its famous racecourse and equestrian traditions? On Saturday June 14, 2025, from 2pm to 6pm, the town will put its hooves... well, its horses under the hood! The gardens of the charming Château de Maisons will be invaded by an entirely different kind of steed: a gathering of Porsche cars. The event is free and open to all.
Organized by the Tourist Office in partnership with the Château, this event will showcase the powerful mechanical gallop of these racing cars. Starting at 3.30pm, the owners will take the stage to present their beautiful cars, in the heart of a royal setting designed by Mansart - the miniature Versailles of the Yvelines. From classic Porsches to the latest models, the public will be treated to a lively, gleaming collection.
And because contemplating the automobile inevitably whets the appetite, a snack area will be available with pastries, cold drinks, tea and coffee, for a sweet break between roars.
And for those of you with a real passion for beautiful cars, the town of Maisons-Laffitte doesn't stop there! It also organizes a monthly gathering of vintage cars near its famous racecourse. A great way to celebrate horses in all their forms - whether alive or roaring!
