This small slice of paradise took on its current shape in 1998, but its roots reach far back in history. It occupies part of the grounds of Folie Beaujon, an elegant former summer house built between 1781 and 1783 for financier Nicolas Beaujon. After his death in 1786, the property was divided, with a portion acquired by Baroness Salomon de Rothschild in 1873. Surrounded by flowerbeds and winding paths, this hidden garden has witnessed centuries of stories and events. In May 1932, it was the site of a tragic moment: the assassination of Paul Doumer, France’s 13th president of the Third Republic.
