In Nemours, on the banks of the River Loing, a guinguette keeps the days flowing all summer long. Welcome to La Terrasse du Moulin de Nemours, a temporary open-air bar with tables, deckchairs and a food market right on the water. Open every day from 11am to midnight, this spot smells like a vacation without leaving the Seine-et-Marne (77), with a breathtaking view of the château de Nemours to boot.

What's on the menu? A postcard view and an open-air food market. Here, you can pick and choose according to your mood - burger, pizza or pad thai - then sit back and enjoy your meal with your feet (almost) in the water. The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, sometimes punctuated by a concert or live entertainment on weekends.

Just a stone's throw away, boulistes tease the jack on the pétanque court, while children run in the grass and others cast off. Every evening from 6pm, electric boats are available for hire from the terrace (from €44/hour), with the option of taking your aperitif on board for a gourmet trip on the Loing.

And to extend this natural interlude, simply cross the nearby bridge to reachIle du Perthuis. Listed as a Natura 2000 site, this five-hectare oasis of greenery lies right in the center of Nemours. Benches under the foliage, absolute calm, freshness and a unique panorama of the river and the château... the ideal getaway after a drink or a full meal!

In autumn 2025, redevelopment work is planned to revegetate the Terrasse du Moulin de Nemours and anchor this waterfront address in a sustainable way. To be continued.
