Have you heard of Hangar Y ? This exceptional historical and cultural site is located in Meudon, in the Hauts-de-Seine region of France. Built in 1879, this majestic building, once dedicated to airships, has now been converted into an exhibition space with a restaurant, offering a unique, verdant setting. And the arrival of fine weather coincides with the return of the Hangar Y guinguette. Surrounded by greenery, with a breathtaking view over the basin and the Hangar Y building, the guinguette is a great spot to have fun in a real green setting.
This year, the guinguette is getting a facelift and offering a varied program to make the most of the summer season: a new menu, open-air cinema screenings, lots of entertainment and DJ sets. Open-air cinema sessions take place on July 11 and 25, August 22, September 5 and 12. The 7th art is honored with 8 screenings under the stars between June and September. For a truly chill experience, you can rent a deckchair, a blanket and a picnic basket.
DJ sets liven up the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to midnight, providing a festive and convivial atmosphere by the water. On the restaurant side, the menu is reinvented with a street food and summer menu, ideal for the season. There's a selection of planks, a wide choice of grills and new combined formulas to discover and share several options from the new menu.
Numerous activities punctuate the summer from the guinguette to the Hangar Y: ping-pong, pétanque, open-air games (kubb, darts, molki, palets bretons, cornhole, twister) and table and board games on loan are available for you to enjoy with friends or family.
The guinguette opens to us on Thursday from 6pm to 11pm, Friday from 6pm to midnight, Saturday from 12pm to midnight and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm. Please note: admission to the park is free from 7pm on the days the guinguette is open.
In short, if you want to make the most of summer in a green and festive setting, the Hangar Y guinguette is a festive terrace of choice. With its rich and varied program, it promises pure moments of relaxation and conviviality in the heart of nature.
