We set out to discover a very nice spot in Sartrouville, in the Yvelines (78). This summer 2026, the Parc du Dispensaire hosts two gourmande addresses installed facing each other, which makes you want to settle at the tables or lay a blanket on the grass and never leave: the foodtruck Café des Écuries and the Guinguette du Dispensaire. A chill and festive duo that turns this verdant park into a true gathering spot, whether you’re with family, friends or colleagues.
The Dispensary Park is already one of the green lungs of downtown Sartrouville. This 2.75-hectare park, accessible from Avenue Maurice-Berteaux, the banks of the Seine, Mozart Street, or Poplar Street, blends shaded green spaces in summer, flower beds, a collection garden, an educational and ecological labyrinth, living willow tunnels, and even two water-themed play areas with playful boats complete with boardwalks, climbing nets, slides, and spring toys for kids aged 2 to 8. Insect hotels, refuges for ladybugs and butterflies, and bird nests have also been installed in the trees, making this a true urban sanctuary. It’s no accident Sartrouvillois flock there at the first rays of sun.
Just opposite, the two outlets echo each other without competing. On one side, the Café des Écuries is rolling out its food truck from June 3 to October 31, 2026, daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This project, born from the desire to create a friendly spot in the heart of the park, has already proven its worth last year, drawing nearly 1,000 visitors who came to enjoy a crêpe, an ice cream, or a quick bite over the summer. This season, the menu features Raimo ice creams in cones (the Parisian ice-cream makers renowned since 1947), waffles, galettes, fruit cups, granola bowls, and smoothies. A place to cool off and snack at any hour, without fuss.
On the other hand, the Guinguette du Dispensaire takes over the evening aperitif. The venue is open all day on weekends and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. The menu centers around apéritif boards (charcuterie, cheese, or both for €15 each) and friendly formats: a board for 2 with two glasses of wine at €25, a board for 4 with a bottle at €45, or the safe bet of fries and a pint at €12. For nibbles, there are chicken strips with house sauce (€7), breaded mozzarella sticks (€6), and a small homemade charcuterie selection with country pâté, rillette, and a whole sausage.Kids aren’t left out with a €9 menu (juice or soda, nuggets and fries, ice cream). On the drink side, a selection of wines and beers rounds out the offering.
What stands out here is the vibe. It isn’t a high-tech beach bar, but a neighborhood park that looks after its residents by giving them room to breathe. The guinguette taps back into that distinctly Île-de-France tradition of simple pleasure: toasting outdoors when the sun finally shows up. It’s ideal for a family afternoon, a spontaneous after-work drink, or a greenside lunch with colleagues.
And to top it off, lively evenings and musical performances with free and open access await you every week. Check out the program.
The Parc du Dispensaire is in Sartrouville, reachable from Paris by the RER A (Sartrouville station) in under 30 minutes from Saint-Lazare. A friendly pit stop in the heart of the Yvelines, set in a natural setting, with plenty to woo gourmands.
