Verdict after a night up there: the 360° view of Paris delivers on its promise, and the signature cocktails menu, paired with tapas, keeps pace with the scenery rather than resting on it.
The venue occupies a rare sweet spot, at the crossroads of Parc Monceau and the Batignolles village. Two worlds sizing each other up warily, one Haussmannian and upscale, the other more village-like with its sidewalk cafés. The rooftop, for its part, soars above them both.
The promise of a 360-degree panorama is one you hear a lot and rarely get to test. Here it proves itself by simply circling the terrace: the Sacré-Cœur on one side, the Eiffel Tower on the other, and in between, a sea of zinc rooftops that buy into a strange glow at sunset.
The building itself deserves a closer look. Once a concrete parking garage, it has been transformed into a hotel and offices by PCA-STREAM into a 10,000-square-meter complex that keeps its brutalist DNA, including the spiral ramp. The interior architecture is by the New York studio Roman & Williams, the minds behind this blend of raw concrete, bricks, and warm ironwork that extends even to the terrace.
The result is that the rooftop doesn’t read as a hotel terrace perched on a roof. It looks like a suspended garden that has sprung up on an industrial frame, with low seating, plenty of greenery, and a warm, inviting glow as soon as night falls.
The menu of signature cocktails features five house creations, each priced at 22 euros, and all built around a clearly identified spirit and fresh fruit purées. The Peppered pairs pepper-infused vodka, Campari, and sour cherry purée, finished with a foamy aquafaba texture. The Verde leans on Plymouth gin, Italicus, and kiwi, brightened by a house-made pepper syrup.
The Dominican stands out as the sunniest option, with Brugal 1888 rum, mango, pineapple and a peppery note that lifts everything without being overpowering. Le Figua riffs tequila with fig, in both liqueur and purée versions, and Oaxaca brings out mezcal with grapefruit, hibiscus and basil. It’s the last one you’ll remember if you’re into smoky, slightly bitter cocktails.
Two spritzes round out the menu: the Fondation Spritz at Saint-Germain—prosecco and raspberry—and the Golden Spritz, smoother, with Cointreau and passion fruit. Good news for those who don’t drink alcohol: three mocktails are crafted with the same care, using non-alcoholic spirits JNPR and VRMT. The Roussillon, with sour cherry, thyme and rosemary, is far from a mere fruit-juice refresher.
As for the plates, the rooftop leans on a short, carefully curated tapas lineup, served from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and partly curated by Bellota-Bellota, Paris’s reference point for Iberian products. Here you’ll find a sliced cecina, that thinly dried beef whose texture pairs nicely with a mezcal-based cocktail.
The tarama comes in two versions, natural and with summer truffle, and the piquillo pepper cream adds a soft, vegetal note that rooftop menus often miss. Not flashy, but quality ingredients to share for two or four. For a proper dinner, aim for Les Ailes, the bistronomic restaurant on the 8th floor of the same building, or La Base, the brasserie on the ground floor.
The rooftop is open Monday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to midnight, and walk-ins are welcome. It’s a welcome freedom for spontaneous evenings, but it also means taking your chances: on sunny summer nights the terrace can fill up quickly. It’s wise to arrive early, around opening time, to enjoy the golden hour light.
Also keep an eye on the weather. The venue only opens when the skies are clear; storms and showers close the terrace without warning. We don’t go there for a long, lingering aperitif, with that low-angle light skimming the rooftops that alone justifies the hike. Budget-conscious patrons will note that the bill can quickly reach 22 euros per cocktail, but it stays in line with the capital’s terraces with a view.
